If you need the largest, most versatile collapsible travel snake hook configuration on the market, the Wandering Hook – Expedition Model is what you’ve been looking for! Utilizing the Manbily 22–65" Hiking Monopod as the base, this configuration offers exceptional reach and versatility in a portable package.
Compact enough for carry-on luggage or a hiking pack, yet capable of extending into a full-sized field hook, this versatile system also functions as a sturdy camera monopod and adjustable hiking pole. The pole locks securely at any length within its range, providing precise control and confidence in the field. Every Expedition Model purchased through Wandering Scales includes an upgraded hook-to-pole adapter for improved durability and functionality.
For the Expedition Model in particular, we recommend keeping at least 2–3 inches of each telescoping section nested inside the preceding section when working with heavier wildlife or camera equipment. This helps minimize flex and reduces the risk of pole damage.
Compact. Versatile. Durable. With a Wandering Hook mounted atop this premium hiking monopod, you're carrying more than a snake hook — you're carrying (in our humble opinion) the best large travel hook currently available!
Usage & Safety Notice
Wandering Scales LLC stands behind the quality and effectiveness of our gear, when used as intended. Wandering Hooks are purposefully designed for wildlife photography, observation, and careful wildlife manipulation. Collapsible poles are not designed for pinning animals or for prying, lifting, or flipping heavy objects. Such use may permanently damage the pole.
Wildlife handling carries inherent risks and requires appropriate training and caution. Wandering Hook users assume responsibility for safe and proper use. Wandering Scales LLC disclaims liability for injury, damage, or loss resulting from improper or untrained use, to the extent permitted by law.
